Passage Name Plate, Marscot/O'Day Hull #10

This recently rediscovered nameplate, besides identifying Passage as hull number 10, is an interesting clue about the early days of the Dolphin. Marscot Plastics, George (G.D.) O'Day Associates, Inc and O'Day Corporation were distinct entities that eventually became one. Passage was built, sold and shipped sometime in mid 1960. By November, the nameplate for Tiki, Hull #28 built, and sold, in the Fall of 1960 made no mention of Marscot Plastics. Instead, the builders name was O'Day Manufacturing Corporation built for O'Day Corporation. G.D. O'Day Associates disappeared from the nameplates.

This stuff must be in the Massachusettes Secretary of State public records? Eventually, these matters will be discussed ad nauseum in the History and Technical Sections. Click here for our page on Nameplates and Builders Numbers
