Alan Manzer's Delphinus, a Yankee, Kings Harbor, California

May 6, 2014. Alan originally checked in with us because he was looking to buy a Dolphin 24 - and he knew about them because he once owned one named Delphinus. He did buy a Dolphin, but quickly sold her and is still looking - you can read that saga by clicking here.

Delphinus is officially missing. Here are Alan's emails (excerpted as they related to Delphinus, edited and consolidated)

I owned the previous "Delphinus" out of King Harbor California. At the time I did not have enough time to use her, too busy earning a living, in town and out ..Still no photo found --- I do know she was a Yankee, built in the LA area.

Her name might have been spelled Delphiniums. Rather than change her name I removed the name from her transom. I think she is in the Northwest somewhere around Edmonds/Anacortes area. Black hull with a gold cove stripe, white topside with gray step areas. She is a Yankee, previously berthed in King Harbor, Redondo Beach, next to The "Red Lion" Restaurant.

Nothing more right now to report on The Delphinus. I had thought I had a copy of the old CF number from Calif Registration - not to be
