I don't put my Johnson 4hp outboard on 'Teer often but its nice to be able to when I want to - rowing a short a few hundred yards is one thing, a mile or more is something else. Protecting the varnished transom is critical. This mahagony bracket is a close fit over the transom and the motor mount screws press the bracket tight against the transom.
