This Yankee Yachts' sketch found in S&S's files is very informative. Beyond the technical information regarding the mast support arch, it shows that, in September 1965, Yankee had a logo and was formally up and running making and selling Dolphins out on the west coast. These were being built on hulls supplied by O'Day. Note the fiberglass keel comment at the bottom of the sketch. O'Day built boats had externally bolted on lead keels. The early Yankee's did too. I wonder if the hull was shipped across the country with the keel already bolted on? Or was it poured in California?
