Robin Lee, Yankee #118, FOR SALE, Marina del Rey, California

December 6, 2013. Erik Evans had a weak moment and thought he would sell Robin Lee. However, he dodged this bullet and cames to his senses - as have a number of other lucky Dolphin owners. We'll hid the evidence here

On May 23, 2013 Erik told us ROBIN LEE was for sale. Here is Erik's email, and an updated link to the ad.

Hi Ron-

We have decided to list Robin Lee for sale.  We're in a bit of a transition mode right now and have decided to sell her and perhaps move into a bit larger sailboat.  We have just loved our Dolphin and will certainly miss her when she moves on, but are hoping to find a new owner who will love her as much as we have.

Here's the (updated) link to the Craig's List ad:

Thanks for all of your support and mentorship to the Dolphin community!

Yankee Dolphin 24 Sloop - $5500 (Marina Del Rey)

1968 Yankee Dolphin 24 sloop, "Robin Lee". Beautiful Sparkman and Stephens classic full-keel centerboarder. Great condition. Tohatsu 6HP outboard with less than 50 hours, excellent motor, very reliable. Mainsail with slab reefing, roller furling 135% headsail in very good condition. Spinnaker and spinnaker pole included. All running gear in excellent condition. All control lines, halyards lead to cockpit, so it's set up perfectly for singlehanding. First-rate, heavy-duty ground tackle: two anchors (Delta primary, Danforth stern) and plenty of rode. Seat and cabin cushions. Mini kayak included with sale, which makes a good tender for the singlehander.

Your chance to own one of the great early fiberglass classic racer/cruisers.

Hi Ron-

We're still here. We have pulled Robin Lee off of the market after flirting with a few potential buyers. We decided eventually that we loved the boat too much to see her go right now, and have been sailing a lot lately.

Interesting note: In the advertisement for "Colossal", the Dolphin for sale in Ithaca, NY, the photo used in the flyer taped to the bow of the boat is actually a photo of Robin Lee at mooring (above) in Catalina Island. Ha!

Hope all is well.
