Don owned Menehune during the 1970's and sold her to Gene Connolly from Redding, CT in 1977. He bought her in 1968 from Ralph Seidenspinner, who I think was the original owner. Ralph was a pilot who flew regularly to Hawaii, and who had named her Menehune after a Hawaiian stone troll. Gene renamed her Passage, had her for 22 years, and in 1999 sold her to Michael Gooch-Breault from New York City. Passage is now in Old Lyme, CT slowly undergoing restoration. Click here to go to her
Stand by for a Menehune photo and more. In the meantime here is a picture of Menehune as Passage in 1999.
