Don Fraser's Yankee Dolphin, Hull #134 - Marblehead, Massachusettes (updated November 8, 2011)

November 8, 2011. DFI's Bob Johnson and Russ Barton brought this boat to our attention on September 25, 2011. It was being advertised on EBay by a charitable organization, Boat Angel, apparently having been donated to them. The Ebay ad and pictures are below. We have been working on trying to contact the owner. Ebay/Boat Angel reported that the boat had been sold on September with a winning bid of $56..

Yesterday, we spoke to Don Fraser, the former owner, who confirmed that the new owners are Maurice and Gloria Levor of Newfoundland, Canada. Today, Maurice has checked in and we have opened a new page for this boat. Click here to go there.

Don reported that the boat will 'winter' in Marblehead and move to Newfoundland next Spring. Don also reported that the boat did not have a name for the 15 years or so he owned her, nor did she when he bought her about 20 years ago from a Bo McKinsey (sp?) of Melrose, Massachusetts. Bo reportedly owned the boat for 3-4 years.

This boat is our 188th found Dolphin.

Don also reported that there is another Dolphin in Marblehead Harbor! She has a green hull and is owned by a Mark Grady. Click here to go to her page.

Stay tuned for more about both boats.
