Bill's 1970 Yankee Dolphin, Hull #164, Holiday Point Marina, Edgewater, Maryland

November 12, 2016 We found this boat listed on Craigslist and we were standing by for more information. She appears to be a newly found Dolphin, if so, our 227th. And we did get more info - a check-in email from Bill - with good news. He joins that select group of Dolphin owners that changed their minds and decided to keep their Dolphin!

Thank you very much for placing my Dolphin 24 on your website.

I have changed my mind, however, about selling the boat as my son and my grand daughter want me to keep it. So, my Dolphin 24 is no longer for sale

I noticed your website prior to the craigslist ad, and wanted to place it there, but was not sure the site was active. Very much appreciate that you are maintaining this page for Dolphin owners.

Webmaster Note: We have pulled the For Sale ad from this page (can be painful for some to be reminded...) but have selected/edited some info provided in the ad to keep here on #164's page.

She is located in a slip at the Holiday Point Marina in Edgewater, Maryland.

The Dolphin is a great all around small cruising boat. She can be sailed single handed comfortably and has proven racing ability.

Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, the Dolphin has sleek, beautiful lines. She was built in 1970 by Yankee Yachts - Hull # 164 and has a 1990 Yamaha 8 hp engine (right).

Boat and motor have been maintained regularly by the Marina, including replacement of running rigging in November, 2010.

Original sails were replaced with custom made sails in 1999.
